Castello di Monsanto Chianti, Italy

Castello di Monsanto is a distinguished winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region, situated on a picturesque 18th-century estate in Barberino Val d’Elsa. The estate covers 72 hectares of vineyards planted primarily with Sangiovese, while also incorporating historic varieties such as Canaiolo and Colorino. A family-run operation led by Fabrizio and Laura Bianchi, Castello di Monsanto has been at the forefront of Chianti innovation since the early 1960s, being one of the first to produce a single-vineyard Chianti Classico Cru. The estate’s winemaking philosophy combines respect for its ancient terroir with a pioneering spirit—producing elegant, full-bodied wines that reflect both tradition and modernity.
